Successfull project meeting in Arhem, Holland

ESRs and ERs present their research plans for the coming 3 years

Amongst various presentations and workshops, LegumePlus researchers and supervisors met in Arnhem near Wageningen last week to hear a very inspiring talk by Professor J-P Salminen on his recent publication in 'Science'.

During the other presentations fellows described how they have started experiments on Sainfoin, Birdsfoot Trefoil and Red Clover. As this research is carried out across the EU, fellows will be able to exchange samples, exploit opportunities for joint research, inter-disciplinary papers and secondment visits to each other’s laboratories.

Therefore, this EU Marie Curie Initial Training Network will provide fellows with many opportunities for synergistic research. They will exchange their samples for analysis by several techniques in order to develop new legume varieties with enhanced agronomic, environmental, nutritional and anthelmintic properties. This project will at the same time assist the fellows to develop professional networks for their future careers.
